Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chattarvriti Yojna
The Scholarship will be given to top 1000 meritorious students of Scheduled Caste category and to top 1000 meritorious students of OBC declared as such in the result of Matric Examination conducted by the H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala strictly on merit basis for 10+1 and 10+2 classes in a recognized within or outside the State. The renewal in 10+2 Class will be subject to satisfactory performance in 10+1 internal examination. The scholarship is given @ Rs.10,000/- per annum.

Swami Vivekanand Utkrisht Chhatervritti Yojna
The Scholarship will be given to top 2000 meritorious students of General category declared as such in the result of Matric Examination conducted by the H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala strictly on merit basis for 10+1 and 10+2 classes in a recognized within or outside the State. The renewal in 10+2 Class will be subject to satisfactory performance in 10+1 internal examination. The scholarship is given @ Rs.10,000/- per year.
Sainik School Sujanpur Tihra Scholarship

Kalpana Chawla Chhatravriti Yojna
This is a new scholarship scheme sponsored by state Govt. implemented during the year 2012-13. Under this Scheme the top 2000 meritorious girl students of all study groups i.e. Science, Arts and Commerce streams based on passing ratio in each group as per the merit list supplied by the HPBSE Dharamsala for Post+2. Rs 15000/- only will be given to per student per year. The scholarship will be renewed till the completion of Degree /Diploma/ Certificates course provided there is no failure.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna – Affordable Home Loan for Urban Poors
NDA Scholarship Scheme
This is a State Sponsored Scheme started from the year 2010-11 which will be given to the Cadets of Himachal Pradesh who are getting training at National Defence Academy Post, NDA, Khadakwasla, Pune.
Mukhiya Mantri Protsahan Yojna
This is a new Atal Protsahan Yojna sponsored by state Govt. implemented during the year 2012-13 for all those students of the state who are selected and take admission for a degree course in any Indian Institute of Technology {IITs} or All India Institute of Medical Sciences {AIIMS} and for a Post Graduate Diploma Course in any Indian Institute of Management {IIMs}. One time Award of Rs 31000/-{Thirty one thousand only} will be given to all the students.
Thakur Sen Negi Utkrisht Chhatervritti Yojna
The Scholarship will be given to top 100 Girls and top 100 Boys students belonging to the Tribal Community of HP, declared as such in the result of Matric Examination conducted by the H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala strictly on merit basis for 10+1 and 10+2 classes in a recognized within or outside the State. The renewal in 10+2 Class will be subject to satisfactory performance in 10+1 internal examination. The scholarship is given @ Rs.11,000/- per year.
Maharishi Balmiki Chattarvriti Yojna
The scholarship under this scheme is @ Rs.9000/- per year is given to the Bonafide Himachali girl students belonging to Balmiki Families, engaged in unclean occupation, beyond Matric to college level for studies and professional courses at the level of college situated in Himachal Pradesh irrespective of their status i.e. Govt. or Private. The concerned students must apply on prescribed proforma through their Head of the School/College/Institution along with Balmiki certificate.
Indira Gandhi Utkrisht Chhatervritti Yojna for Post Plus Two Students
The Indira Gandhi Uttkrisht Chhatervritti Yojna for meritorious students for Post Plus two Courses shall be awarded to 150 students @ Rs. 10,000/-P.A.per student purely on the basis of the merit and without any income ceiling .The Scholarship will also be awarded to ten toppers each from the merit list of 10+2 arts, Science and Commerce, supplied by the H.P. Board of School Education Dharamshala, provided they join any academic / professional stream The Scholarship o be awarded to ten toppers from the
merit list B.A./BSc./B.Com., provided they join any academic /professional stream. The scholarship will be renewed every year to the same number of students till they complete degree/course.
Rashtriya Indian Military College Scholarship
This award is made to the ten students who are Bonafide residents of H.P. and are studying from VIII to XII in Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun. Two students from each class are eligible for the scholarship. The amount of scholarship is Rs. 20,000/-p.a.
IRDP Scholarship Scheme
Students belonging to IRDP families and studying in 6th to University level are eligible for this scholarship provided they are pursuing their study in Govt./Govt. aided Institutions in H.P.

Centre Sponsored Scholarship Schemes
Incentive to SC/ST girl students for Secondary Education
This is a centrally sponsored scheme for SC/ST girl students who take admission in 9th class after passing Middle Standard Examination from H.P. Board of School Education. Under this scheme, the girl student will have to open a Bank account with zero balance in a Bank and will intimate her account number to the Headmaster/Principal of the school in which she took admission in 9th class. The Headmaster/Principal will send the
particulars of all the eligible girl students in a consolidated form along with bank account number and name of the branch to the Dy. Director of the district concerned who will further submit the list of the eligible students in the district in a consolidated form alongwith soft copy (through e.mail /pen drive) to the Directorate of Higher Education, H.P. Shimla. The girls under this scheme should not have completed sixteen years age as on 31st March of the year. The amount of incentive under this scheme is Rs. 3000/-
and will be given in the shape of a Time Deposit. The amount can be withdrawn when the girl attains the age of eighteen years provided that she had studied for two years regularly in some High/Sr.Sec.School and passed the Matriculation Examination.All girls who have passed Middle standard Examination from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalya irrespective of caste/religion are eligible for this scholarship.
Pre-Matric Scholarship to the children of those engaged in un – clean occupation (CSS)
Under this scheme the scholarship will be admissible to the children of Indian National who irrespective of their religion are actively engaged in scavenging of dry latrines, and other unclean occupation i.e. tanning and flaying only which are traditionally considered ‘unclean’. The scholarship will be tenable only to such Institutions and for such courses up to Matric stage, which have been duly recognized by the concerned state. There will
be no income ceiling for award of scholarship under this scheme. The duration of the scholarship in an academic year is 10 months. The scholarship will be awarded @ Rs.110/- per month from class 9th. to 10th. for day scholars and Rs. 700= per month for hostlers. In addition to this an adhoc grant of Rs.750/- p.a to day scholar and Rs.1000/- p.a. to hostellers is also admissible.
Pre-Matric Scholarship to OBC Students (Centrally Sponsored Scheme)
Under this scheme the scholarship will be given to those students of 9th & 10th class whose parents annual income does not exceed to Rs. 44,500/- . The scholarship will be awarded @ Rs.50/- per month for day scholars, Rs. 250/- per month for Hostellers and Rs.500 per student per year one time adhoc grant is also given under this scheme.
Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme to SC and ST students (Centrally Sponsored Scheme)
The SC students whose parents annual income from all sources is up to rupees two lakh fifty thousand (Rs.2,50,000/-) are eligible for full scholarship (i.e. maintenance allowance + fee) for all courses provided they are pursuing their studies in Govt./Govt. aided/ Private Institutions.

Up gradation of Merit of SC/ST students (CSS)
Seven students (SC-6 &ST-1) are selected on the basis of merit list of middle standard exams of HPSEB are admitted in 9th class in GSSS Bhamour (Chamba).The Scheme is tenable from 9th to 10+2 class.
- For fee and stationery = Rs. 3000/- per annum
- For boarding and lodging = Rs. 900/- per month
- Out of pocket allowance = Rs. 300/- per month
In addition to this a provision for the payment of Honorarium @ Rs.10000/- per annum per student is made to the teachers imparting teaching to these students.
Merit cum means Scholarship Scheme for Students belonging to Minority
community (CSS)
This Scholarship is for the Minority students belonging to (Muslim-13,Sikh-8,Christian1,Budhhist- 8 ,Total =30 students ).The annual income of the parent or guardian of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs. 2.50 Lakh from all sources and student should have not less than 50% marks. Financial assistance will be given to pursue degree and/or Post-graduate level technical Professional courses from recognized institutions.
Post–Matric Scholarship Scheme to students belonging to Minority Community(CSS)
This Scholarship will be given from XI to Phd. Level in Govt./recognized private school/college/institute including technical/vocational cources for the Minority students belonging to (Muslim,Sikh-,Christian,Budhhist and Parsi ).The annual income of the parent or guardian of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs. 2.00 Lakh from all sources and student should have not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination. Student must pass the examination from Govt./Govt.-aided institutions.
Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme to students to belonging Minority community (CSS)
This Scholarship is for the Minority students belonging to (Muslim-250, Sikh160,Christian-20,Budhhist-160 Total –600 students ).The annual income of the parent or guardian of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs. 1.00 Lakh from all sources and student should have not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination. The Scholarship will be awarded for students in India in a Govt. or private School from class 1 to class X.
Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Scholarship for College and University students (CSS)
This is a new CSS on the basis of (50% boys, 50% girls) implemented in the year 2008-09 through H. P. Board of School Education Dharmshala for Post plus two students who secured 80% and above marks in 10+2 class. HP Board of School Education, Dharamshala invites the application forms of eligible students and sent direct to GOI, MHRD, New Delhi.
Maulana Azad National Scholarship Scheme for Meritorious Girls students
belonging to Minorities
This Scholarship is given to 18 meritorious girl students belonging to Minority community (Muslim- 08, Sikh- 04,Christian-02, Budhhist-04 Total – 18 students ).who secured 55% and above marks in Matriculation Examination conducted by the H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala and the family income of the student from all sources should
be less than Rs. 1,00,000/-(Rupees one lakh only ). The amount of Scholarship will be Rupees 12000/- which will be released in two installments of Rs 6000/- each. The first installment will be released after sanction of Scholarship and the second installment will be released when the student will submit proof of passing class XI th , and admission to
class XIIth in the office of the Foundation .
INSPIRE (CSS)
At present the scheme is being implemented at the level of Elementary Education i.e. upto 10th class. In this regards Director, Elementary Education has issued instructions to all the Dy. Directors Higher/Elementary Education of the State.
National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship (CSS)
National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme being started by Govt. of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development Department of School Education and Literacy Secondary Scholarship Division, New Delhi. The Scheme is being implemented through Principal, SCERT, Solan.
Scholarship to disabled Students CSS)
- Scholarship Scheme (Trust Fund) Under this scheme, 1000 Scholarships are provided to eligible differently-abled students for degree and post graduate level professional and technical courses from recognized institutions. The students may apply online (www.nhfdc.nic.in) at anytime during the year and submit hard copy of the application to “National Handicapped Finance & Development Corporation (NHFDC), Red Cross Bhawan, Sector-12, Faridabad – 121007”. Reimbursements of Non-Refundable fees restricted to limit of fee of similar courses. Maintenance allowance will be paid to the students for 10 months @ 2,500/- p.m. for Professional Graduate Courses and 3,000/- p.m. for Professional Post Graduated Courses in one academic year. Books / Stationary allowances will be paid to students pursuing Professional Graduate Courses @ 6,000/- p.a. and 10,000/- p.a. for pursuing Professional Post-Graduate Courses. Monthly income of the beneficiary / parent / guardian should not be more than
25,000/- ( 3.00 Lac p.a.) from all sources. - Scholarship Scheme (National Fund) Under this scheme, 500 Scholarships are provided in a year to the students with disabilities for pursuing post matric professional and technical courses of more than one year duration.The students may apply online (www.nhfdc.nic.in) and submit hard copy of the application along with requisite documents to the “National Handicapped Finance & Development Corporation (NHFDC), Red Cross Bhawan, Sector-12, Faridabad – 121007”. Scholarship of 1,000/- p.m. for hostellers and 700/- p.m. for day scholars studying in professional courses at graduation and above level, and 700/- p.m. for hostellers and 400/- p.m. for day scholars pursuing Diploma / certificate level Professional courses. Course fee reimbursed upto ceiling of 10,000/- p.a.Monthly income of the beneficiary / parent / guardian should not be more than 15,000/- ( 1.80 Lac p.a.) from all sources.

The award once made will continue subject to good conduct and regularity in attendance. It will be renewed for class X after
the student passes class IX. Application form of eligible students be retained in the institutions.
